The stress, depression, and lack of feeling in control that comes with burnout, are finally being formally recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO). The organization recognized burnout as a legitimate medical diagnosis, leading employers to prioritize mental wellbeing for their employees. This makes it, not only an ethical priority, but a business imperative.
When we fill control is out of our reach it is easy to be left feeling burnt out. This can come from deals not going our way or constant rejection. Whatever that might be trust that you are ALWAYS in control. The problem really comes from us being so tied to only one specific outcome and when things don’t go our way, our earth crumbles. Give yourself the grace that all of this is for experience and to help you on your next opportunity or your career path as a whole.
Culture is vital for a healthy organization. With an underlying stigma around talking openly about mental health this can be a challenge to navigate. With a new generation rising into these high performing roles, mental health is at the forefront for many. Fostering a truly dynamic environment for growth and mental health awareness is growing more and more crucial for all businesses/industries.
Flashy incentives, company swag, and perks can be great motivators for some reps and even recruiting. But companies are realizing it’s not a fix-all solution as there are many reps that are left feeling burnt out or unmotivated and ready for a more transformative solution bridging the gap between sales performance and well-being.
Comparing ourself to those around us is natural and easy to fall into. As we often seek for recognition the best way to do that is to stand out from the rest. As we shift our comparison to a more inward approach, it is truly where we experience the most growth. Often times we hope to make the leaps and bounds to become more like the best selling rep on the team or in the company. But we forget and sometimes overlook the time and effort it took those individuals to get there.
It is extremely easy for some to get lost in the day-to-day tasks, we often hear this describesd by the phrase, “going through the motions.” When we fall into this routine everything can become mundane and boring. Burnout is inevitable in this state. The answer to this problem is variety. When we can challenge our minds or our bodies in new ways are bodies are forced to adapt keeping us on our toes and feeling rejuvenated.
Burnout is a stress-induced condition. Our platform and services are empowering teams and individuals across the US to build resilience to these challenges and helping individuals successfully offload stress.
